So it's been while since I’ve posted but I’ve been busy travelling the world (post on that coming soon ;)) .Everyone has been asking about my the hair transplant I had last year so what a great comeback post and an easy way for me to answer everyone’s questions about it.
For the last few years I had started to lose my hair, partly due to stress and partly just lucky i guess (eye rolls ) . Everyone said they couldn't notice and i didn't need it but I NOTICED and believe me i did need it so i went started thinking about what i could do. I had looked into toupees but it just didn't feel like the right option for me .I swept my hair across as much as i could until i discovered FUE transplants.
I always felt like hair transplants were for old men and way too expensive so it was always something i had never planned on doing ...thats until i saw a guy own insta raving about it and it looked so good that my mind was instantly changed and it started to seem like a viable option for me especially because he was the same age as me etc.
Oh ok i will get to the actual point and facts. There are a few different methods to choose from when comes to transplants but the one that I was draw to was the FUE .An FUE Hair Transplant is also known as a follicular unit extraction transplantand involves taking individual hairfollicles from a donor area, usually the back (or side) of the head. The individual follicles are then implanted back into the balding areas on the head.
It’s so clever how it’s done and I’m not even gonna begin to pretend I understand that science behind it , but basically the hair from the back of my head has been used at the front and somehow regrown at the back still anyway ? .like most young people ( am I a young person ? ) I had this done abroad in instanbul and the main reason for this was price ! In London I was looking at between 5-20 thousand where as instanbul is more between 1-3 thousand so it was a no brainer really .
The whole process was fairly quick and I only had to be in instanbul for 3 days . The healing process can be slow and not the most attractive but the results have made it all worth while :)
