Sleek del mar vol II i-divine palette

I have been wanting this palette since the day it came out a few months ago so you can imagine my excitement when I received it free in a gift bag.

I'm really appreciating to light and dark golds in this collection, I teamed them up with the dark matt brown to create the above smokey eye affect.

Looking at this collection just makes me want to set up a make up stool on the beach and create beach looks for people all day. The colours will create some really cool fresh looks.

this is limited edition so get in quick but while its available you can buy it in super drug, boots or the sleek website for £7.99

aromatherapy associates muscle gel

This has recently become my little hero and is constantly used.A perfect little treat for the muscles and something I currently use most days.

This product can be used as a massage medium to massage over the whole body.It can  also just be applied to problem areas as a bit of light relief.

The black pepper and ginger in the gel helps create a scent that is calming and relaxing  but also unisex and not too feminine.

Everything about this product screams high end so I was shocked to discover the 150 ml tube is available on their website for only £24

Egyptian Magic

Yesterday a little sample of this appeared in front of me so I Kindof thought it would be rude not to give it a little try.

The consistency is best described as Vaseline-like and also looks very similar .

After looking into reviews of this product its clear that some people use this as an every day moisturiser for all different skin types...I disagree with these people completely , all ingredients steer more towards very dry delicate skin and after trying the product myself  ive come to the conclusion that it would be perfect as a treatment for selected dry areas on the face or body(it was amazing on my little dry elbows )  but I personally wouldn't recommend covering ur whole face in it especially if you have oily skin.

Some microdermabrasion/face peel  treatments require you to wear a barrier cream after the treatment to protect the skin ... this is the sort of thing I would recommend as it the ingredients in it should act as a barrier.

This is just my opinion on how to use the product but if you do feel that it works for  you as an all over moisturiser please don't let me stop you :) .

Seventeen contour kit

For months I had been looking for a contour kit that was for fair skin and included a non shimmery highlighter . Clearly I hadn't been looking hard enough because the make up brand seventeen had one all along.

This kit is for fair skins so the darker powder is dark enough to shade but not dark enough to create an obvious line , this is perfect for subtle contouring. The product is also available in medium for darker skin tones.

My favourite thing about this kit is the highlighter...a lot of contour kits contain a shimmery highlight which looks amazing of girls and strong contour looks but gives the game away abit if your going for natural contouring of if your a guy and don't want people to know your wearing make up.So the matt highlighter was a big selling point for me but another plus for this is that the kit is only around £4.99 in boots.

LCBT student awards 2015 (after the show)

So that's a wrap for the LCBT student awards ceremony(it hasn't been going all weekend,I just didn't get a chance to post on Friday night :) )

It was a brilliant ceremony as always with loads of deserving winners .Its always nice seeing people get recognised for all their hard work. This year the ceremony was held at the fashion retail academy which ,as you will see from below pics is a gorgeous venue!

Highlights of the show were definately the free gift bags (gift included essie Polish and sleek make up).another highlight was seeing the make up competition...these guys created some amazing looks this year.

The show went on for about an hour and toward the end I was invited on stage to talk about my experiences as both a previous student of the year and a London college of beauty therapy lecturer.

Congratulations to all the winners :)

LCBT Student awards 2015

So it's that time of the year again ...today is the LCBT student of the year awards.I have been asked to do a speech at the ceremony so If your going you will see my cheeky face on stage at some point. This is an important date in beauty brad's callendar but I'm aware it's probly not in everyone's so let me tell you about it.

Every year the London college of beauty therapy hosts its annual student awards . This ceremony is a way of acknowledging all the great things our students have achieved over the last year.

It's a great day with different catorgories such as manicurist of the year , make up artist of the year and then the overall student of the year.

In 2010 I myself was crowned (I didn't receive an actual crown) student of the year and It was quite a proud little moment for me tbh.

Ive been wanting Lcbt to give me a Brad of the year award this year but I have a sneaky feeling it's not going to happen so in the mean time I wish all the nominees  the best of luck .
