Molton brown shaving soap

I have never really been a fan of soap and I've never enjoyed shaving so I've actually shocked myself wanting to write this post .when I say I'm not a fan of soap I don't mean I don't like to wash I just usually prefer a gel formula as I've always found soap to be quite drying. The molton brown shaving soap is not the drying moisture sucking device I had imagined ...instead it makes my skin feel softer than it's ever felt. This shaving soap has actually made me enjoy shaving for the first time ever and has got me checking my stubble daily hoping it is shave day again.

This product is designed for male facial hair but I actually used this to shave my underarms the other day and it worked great on them as well . At first I thought you had to rub the whole soap on your face but then realised to use this soap you simple lather it in your hands then apply to your face .

Handirest

Beauty Brad is always looking for the  next little handy beauty trick so you can imagine my excitement when the handirest team got in touch.Handirest was born out of the need for something steady to rest your hand on while painting nails. There are many different techniques nail techs and DIY nail painters have used over the years in the quest to create a neat polish ,however as far as I'm aware the handirest is the only model of its kind.I have a habit of talking about products as if they are brand new because they are usually new to me at the time I post however the handirest was actually launched in 2013 so you may of already heard about it.

I've been painting nails for years so at first I found it strange trying to change my painting habits and include a new object to my manicure routine .My hesitance didn't last long as within seconds I was converted to a stable base from which I could happily paint my nails.

LucyBee raw coconut oil

As I'm sure everyone is starting to realize , coconut oil is really having its time in the spotlight and many bloggers,press and general public are welcoming the new-ish discovery with open arms.Now that everyone is talking abou it ,it really was time beauty Brad gave it a go.I had wanted to try coconut oil for the last few months but couldn't find an all purpose one ,only body coconut oil. This week I was introduced to the Lucy bee brand and specifically her coconut oil.As a beauty lecturer I occasionally get the chance to work at amazing events and this was one of those times.

On Wednesday Lucy bee launched her brand new recipe book which features lots of tasty treats and meals using her signature oil.The press launch was held at the good housekeeping Kitchen in soho which is a gorgeous venue.I was there supervising LCBT students who provided Lucy's guests with coconut oil hand massages throughout the morning.As well as the pamper area there were live cooking demos throughout the day showcasing some of the recipes in the book.Guests were offered a range of tasty treats during the morning and all given a full gift bag...it's fair to say Lucy Bee knows how to look after her guests.

Finally let me introduce you to the amazing product that is the Lucy bee coconut oil.If beauty products were Actresses this oil would be the Julie Walters of the beauty world  as there doesn't seem to be anything it can't do.Here a just a few things you can use this product for :

Since receiving this oil I have struggled to know where to keep it so at the moment I carry it to the bathroom for oil pulling , to my bedroom for moisturizing and then I'll be taking it  to the kitchen for cooking ...I think I will need to buy one for each room.

Body jewellery shop clip on ear cuff

Firstly thank you to BJS for sending me this little piece to try .Not sure who BJS is ? Well let me tell you :) .Body jewellery shop (BJS) is a online company that sells a fantastic range of ear piercing jewellery products along side other types of jewellery and piercings.I was eager to write for this company as I loved the idea of branching out slightly from my typical beauty product post.I was so undecided about what product i wanted to try as the tragus piercings had caught my eye and so had the dice earrings.Finally I picked a clip on ear cuff as due to my job I am unable to wear piercings so a clip on would allow me to feel cool on the weekends without having to mess about putting my piercings in and out constantly.

This is one of the first times I think I have actually wore a clip on item as I usually just go out and get an area pierced if i want it but I'm turning over a new leaf . I was initially a bit skeptical but as soon as it met my ear they have been inseparable ever since. When putting the cuff on first time it felt my ear felt delicate ( this may be because it's my first time ) however since the initial clip I haven't felt a thing and actually keep forgetting that it's even there. While browsing the body shop jewelry website I noticed that this is a not an expensive site ...that's a good thing because although expensive jewellery is nice I think there's a element of fun to be had with less expensive items. The price allows you to buy a whole aray of piercing products and keep changing them daily . I personally think I may check out their website for other cool little ear cuffs and things to add to my collection for occasional parties etc.I thought a clip on cuff would fall off after a while ,that is not the case with this one but jus be sure I put it too the test and took it shopping with me all day ...if any item can last a shopping trip with Brad you know it will withhold anything.

BarryM brow kit

For some reason a brow kit was one of few things that I didn't actually have in my make up case so I set out to find one and stumbled across this one from BarryM. was actually surprised how much of a struggle it  was a struggle to find a decent brow kit on the high street . A lot of make up brands didn't even have one for sell which really shocked me as we are currently in the year of the brow.

After looking around for hours I discovered that Barry M had a brow kit which was great for me because Barry M is a brand that I know and trust so I instantly I knew I would be happy with this product and I was. The thing I like most is that I'm a massive fan of subtle brows and keeping them as natural as possible...this product allows me to keep the brows natural while adding a bit more definition.Many people think that when putting make up on their brows they have to put pencil or powder all over the whole area ,this is really not the case as for a natural look you only need to brush stroke the chosen product onto patchy or lighter areas.
