Nail Biting



So this is an issue that quite a few people suffer with and its men as much as it is women. Some people love doing it and have no issue with having chewed up nails …if that’s the case then stop reading now! If you bite your nails simply out of habit and would love to stop I've put together a few simple things to try that really do work..

  •      Constantly having polish on your nails- if you have pretty nails are you really gunna bite them ?


  •          Putting a clear polish on your nails-you might not want pretty nails so put a discrete clear polish on as it tastes disgusting to eat (i tried it for research purposes only haha )


  •          Getting your nails filed regularly- this works if you always have the same therapist ,you start up a relationship and then don’t want to disappoint your therapist by biting.


  •          Finding a new but less addictive and harmful habit(I personally recommend the habit of constantly buying ur girlfriend/boyfriend presents :p )


  •          Covering you nails in a liquid that you don’t like the taste of (the worse the taste the better it works)


These tips work best when combined with will power. They will help you to stop but only if you let them . if you will bite you nails despite what they taste like then your love of nail eating is obviously too strong and im not getting involved .

  1. Since writing this post the question has popped up about what less addictive/damaging habits should people try to replace nail biting ? the best one i can think of is playing with your hair . if you've got any that you would recommend...comment below :)
